Two is the initial growth of the number one, as one plus one becomes two. It is therefore the number of partnerships, the dynamic attraction between one another, and the creation of friendships.

It is the number of choice, indecision and duality, and are connected to the colour orange, which have the qualities associated with sociability, friendship, balance and working with others.

Esoterically, twos are the balance of yin and yang, the feminine and masculine energies, the marriage of opposites.

In numerology, twos represent peacemaking, diplomacy, friendship, cooperation and harmony.

A two personality will have kindness at their heart, be willing to share their life with others and work on behalf of others, with an ability to make friends easily, they will attract others to them. Co-operation, hard work, diplomacy and balance makes them good team workers.

In the minor arcana, twos are the balancing cards, the cards of harmony but also of choice. They are also about co-operation, partnership, peace and attraction. Two cards represent rift healing, the ability to overcome disruption with harmony and calm.

Within the major arcana two is the number of the High Priestess, and also reducing to become the corresponding number for Justice (11) and Judgement (20), all three have elements of two in common but also contain their own leading qualities.

In a two home, the emphasis is definitely on romance, partnership and sharing. This is a home that is meant for a couple, with an ability to live in harmony and peace, strengthening their bond.

The two essence can also create an over-sensitivity to situations, and an inability to handle change due to the strong desire for balance and harmony, indecision can fester in a two personality and a fear of decision making and change.
