Ten is not strictly speaking a numerological number, in that in a numerological reading, ten always reduces down to one. In tarot however, the number ten has an important place, being the final numerical suit card. It is therefore the number of completion and endings, as one cycle comes to an end so another one will begin, therefore the essence of one strongly influences these qualities. In addition to this feeling of completion and fulfilment there is a sense of release of everything that is now redundant in life, leaving the way for a fresh new path. Here we have the realisation of all our thoughts, actions, experiences and even mistakes. This can be seen in both a positive and negative light, as not all endings are welcome, as with anything that involves change (as an ending inevitably does) this can be accompanied by fear. However often with a ten there is a sense of celebration or possible relief! Ten is a culmination number therefore, your True intent has manifest and you are at the point where the stage is turning, ready for a new direction. In the major arcana ten is the number of the Wheel of Fortune card, whose energy signifies that same turning and progression, endings and beginnings as the wheel of life turns and we face new experiences as we let go of old lives. With the rises and falls come joy and sorrow and back to joy again, the prime significance of how we live our lives.
