Sixes are a lovely number. Literally their essence is all about love, harmony, peace and joy. With a six you can guarantee compassion, self-sacrifice and social responsibility. The qualities of this number are an anathema to pain and suffering, and contain the essence of healing and perfection. Unity and devotion to others, which are encompassed in the number six relates also to indigo, the colour of the number six. Esoterically, sixes are related to the symbol of perfection, the six days it took to create the earth and the combination of two triangles, which each represent fire and water. Six personalities have a optimistic outlook on life, they are faithfull and loving, gain fulfilment from the protection of and service to others and provide emotional security to all who come into their world. Six is also all about beauty and the arts. Creating happiness comes from many sources, not just giving of the self but also creating harmonious environments with beauty and imagination. In the minor arcana, six is the bringer of harmony (especially after the whirlwind action and conflict of the fives). With a six there is a nod to nostalgia, generosity, accomplishment and acceptance that life will always work out right. In the major arcana, six relates to the Lovers, which signifies the need for self-love in order to be able to give and receive love from others. IT also relates to the Devil (15) and the essence of six within this card refers to the need to release blockages in order to find inner peace and harmony. A six home is one within which a family will grow surrounded by love and compassion, this home will always look beautiful and feel like a sanctuary. It is a place of healing and also a place for others to recharge and be protected. The essence of six is so connected to helping others as well as the self that it is hard to see a negative side, however self-sacrifice does have its pitfalls and giving too much can leave anyone feeling jaded and empty. There is also a tendency with this number to become too idealistic, and unable to see that sometimes bad things do happen, this has a danger of leaving you unable to cope and become reclusive or resort to escapism instead of facing reality.
