Grey is a neutral colour, being the absence of colour completely and has no specific psychological attributes. It is a mixture of black and white, or a mixture of the seven main spectrum colours.

It therefore encompasses every trait and is not specific, hence the saying “grey areas” meaning no real explanation available.

It does have a few negative associations however, being seen as uniform, depressive, unconfident, damp and dank, lacking and fear of exposure.

It is not ideal for any room in the home, although in metallic form has its place in kitchens and bathrooms.

Since it does not have any specific psychological attributes it is difficult to state what it means if you love or loathe grey, other than a need for or dislike of uniformity.
