Being the centre colour, when it reaches the eyes no adjustment is required to be made to view it whatsoever and therefore it is a highly restful and peaceful colour to look at. It is the colour of Nature and can often be taken for granted as it is constantly all around us, although notice how uplifted we feel in Spring when the grass is greener and plants sprout their leaves… It has a many positive attributes and naturally several negative attributes and as with other colours these depend on tone, tint and surrounding colours. Each attribute relates to how we feel when we are in the presence of the colour as well as what it says about our own personalities when green is our favourite or least favourite colour. If you love the colour green you are probably someone who can easily adapt to a situation, you have a natural ability to heal others and show compassion and a strong love of nature. Animals, young children and plants are just as important to you as your own wellbeing. You are a balanced personality, able to be full of energy or calm and relaxed depending on what is called for. Green is the middle colour between the three main colours of warmth (red, orange, yellow) and the three main colours of cool (blue, indigo, violet) in the spectrum and for this reason is seen to be the balancing colour and is one of the three additive (light) primary colours along with red and blue.
