We are all unique individuals and as such have a unique inner pattern. WE can gain insight into what this pattern is and what “makes us tick” by understanding our core vibrational paths. There are five of these, each explained in more detail below and in order to help us lead a more balanced life, each path can be synthesized and brought into harmony with each other, providing we understand what part of us each represents and how to determine what it means.
The life path number (also known as birth force) is the number given to us at birth, as it is the sum of our birthday. It represents who you are at the core of your being, who you were born as and who you grow to become as your journey progresses. The qualities represented by your life path number are those that are innate and natural in you, this is the number your soul chose as its core essence. Before you can really understand yourself, it helps to understand your life path number, as this will give you and indication of who you really are. By embracing the positive qualities of this number and learning from/acknowledging the negative qualities of this number you will be able to synthesize this core vibration with the other four. This vibration is one of your core assets, it will always be there and can never change. To calculate your life path number, add all the digits in your birth date together to form a single number. Make a note if it reduces to a master number (11 or 22) as this has a heightened meaning. Your birth day number is the number sheds light on the numbers you need to learn in your life, it is believed that the birth day number relates to your innate abilities, talents and how you perceive yourself. This number helps you understand how you can assimilate all the lessons within your life path number into your life journey. It supports and helps access those qualities in the life path number. It is also the number which you may recognise or relate to more closely than the Life Path number and is the number by which your close friends and family will recognise you as. To calculate your birth day number, simply add together the numbers of your birth day date if it is larger than a single number. Where your birth day is a double digit number it is worth looking at the two component numbers separately also as sub-influence numbers to the main birth day number. e.g. Your birthday is the 28 th April – therefore your birth day number is 2+8=10=1, with sub influences of 2 and 8. The expression (or destiny) number is related to your life purpose and areas where you will gain personal fulfilment and is calculated from your full name given at birth. Your name contains within it potential directions, qualities and attitudes at your disposal during your life journey. This number is your life's purpose, destiny or spiritual mission and a field of opportunity to be embraced. By embracing the lessons available from this number your soul is more able to add to its experience, knowledge and therefore growth. To calculate your expression number you need to firstly associate each letter in your name with its corresponding number. Then add each number together to reduce down to a single digit. It is important to use the name given to you at birth, and not to use nicknames, preferred names, shortened names or a changed name (although these all have significance), but the name on your birth certificate if you truly wish to understand your own potential . Your heart's desire number (or soul urge number) is exactly what it says, those urges and desires deep seated within your soul that motivates you. It also denotes what you don't like in life and governs what you value most despite your life path or expression vibrations. By understanding this number you will be able to find a deeper connection to that part of yourself which is often ignored, misunderstood or buried deep within. Once we have suppressed this key part of our inner being, it can be hard to understand exactly what we want, or why relationships fail, or why we are here. This is therefore an essential vibration to understand as to understand this enables us to better understand ourselves, our life path and our expression. Also you will probably find that the qualities expressed in this vibration are the qualities you will find in your ideal mate. To calculate your heart's desire number, you take the vowels (A,E,I,O,U & Y*) of your full birth name (as recorded on your birth certificate). In the same way as with your expression number, take the numbers associated with these vowels (from the letters section) and add them up, reducing down to a single digit. Y is used when there is no other vowel in the syllable, or when preceded by a vowel. The Personality number represents those qualities we present to the outer world and therefore indicates how we are seen by others. It also signifies how we act in the world, and how we allow the world to influence us as we grow. This helps us understand how others may try to direct us and shows us which aspects of our personality will be recognised and validated from other people's first impressions of us. By understanding this vibration we are then able to incorporate the qualities into our overall being, and also help us understand why we might be seen to be particularly good at a certain thing, or not so good at something else. To calculate the personality number we can take the sum of all the consonants in our full birth name, using the corresponding numbers associated with the letters. Do not use Y however, if it was used to calculate your heart's desire number.
